Welcome to CheapFilms.netYour guide to downloading movies online easily & cheaply.
I have reviewed movie download sites that I think are the best on the web and I'm always looking to add more, so come back soon for some site additions.
The sites I have looked at offer movie downloads from just $1.00 each and they are compatible with iPods, DVD Players and are available in HD.
You can see the sites I have reviewed and compare them all in the comparison table or you can read news, updates and other information on the homepage.
Complaints have mainly been about problems with the movie downloads. Files are broken or corrupt, the sound is not working, the movies cannot be burnt to DVDs as well as customers not being able to login for long periods of time.
CheapFilms.net only recommend good, trusted, safe websites to our visitors, therefore we are no longer supporting or recommending MovieBerry.
If you want another site to download movies from, take a look at the list of sites on our comparison table.
The site is a little different from the others we've reviewed in the past. Instead of topping up and downloading films with your balance, you pay a monthly fee of $39.90 and this will allow you to download an unlimited number of movies for the entire month.
You will be billed the monthly amount until you cancel your account, however, you will have unlimited access to the site as long as you remain a member.
If you don't want to commit to the monthly payment without trying the site out, they do offer a 24 hour trial for 99¢. This allows you to download 10 movies within the 24 hours, more than enough to see what the site is like and what sort of quality movies you can expect.
So what are you waiting for? Head over to MovDl now to see what movies are on offer!
It's back to the old days when you topped up and downloaded movies as and when you wanted to!
So, what's the new prices etc? Well, the minimum top up is less than it used to be, at . And because it's now a 'Pay-As-You-Go' site, your credit won't expire and will be there until you've used it all up.
How much are movies then? Well, they've gone up a little bit, but are still really cheap and are even cheaper if you compare then to iTunes movies prices:
HD Movies: High-Quality DivX: DivX: iPod:
So what you waiting for?! Get over to MovieBerry and start downloading some movies for just over $1!
All of the sites were closed down after it was discovered that they were offering movies to download illegally and movies to view illegally. Visiting any of the sites will display a message from the US Government explaining why the site has been seized.
The seven sites that were closed down are: TVshack.net Movies-Links.tv FilesPump.com Now-Movies.com PlanetMoviez.com ThePirateCity.org ZML.com
If you were a customer of any of these sites, unfortunately, any money you had on your account will be lost.
However, if you're still looking for somewhere to download your movies and TV shows, there is a site that you can use safely and legally online; MovieBerry.com. The site offers over 10,000 movies and 1,000 TV shows, is easy to use and is one of the best sites for customer service. We love these guys and although they are fairly new, they are up and coming and offer a fantastic service.
If you want to know more about MovieBerry, check out our review or visit the site for yourself to see what it's all about!
The site is very different from the others we review here, because it offers music as well. This means that the money you add to your account can be used for both movie and music downloads, rather than having to use separate sites.
The site has over movies to download and over mp3s. MP3s cost just and movies start at [, making them one of the cheapest sites to download music and movies from.
There are good offers when you top up your account too, .
The site is very new, but looks great so far, so we suggest giving it a go! Check out Media-Members.com or read our review.
On the 30th June 2010, the site was seized by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcements and as such, the site will be down indefinitely.
So where are we going to get our movies from now? We recommend using a more legal service, such as MovieBerry.com for your movie and tv downloads. The site is cheaper than ZML, offers better quality movies and the site is a whole lot easier to use than ZML.
If you go to zml.com, you will see the following message:
It's sad to see ZML go, but with their monthly change recently changing from $39.90 to over $46.00, MovieBerry is a refreshing change!
Now that the contest is over, they have another one with a bigger better first prize; a Toyota Camry!
The contest hasn't started yet, so keep an eye out for it on the site soon to see what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning.
To take part, you need to invite as many people to the MovieBerry site as possible.
You need to invite people using your own MovieBerry link, this can be found here: MovieBerry Competition. Note: If you're not yet registered with MovieBerry, you will not see a link. MovieBerry if you need to and your link will appear on that page.
For each person that registers and makes a deposit to their account, you will get 1 point. Each payment a user you have invited makes will be worth 1 point.
The person with the most points on the 31st December will receive the first prize of $3000. The second prize of $2000 will be given the person with the 2nd highest number of points, and finally, $1000 will be given to the person with the third highest number of points.
For more details on the competition, read about it here: MovieBerry Competition.
You will receive 10 albums from their partner music site, MP3 Panda to download for free.
This offer is running until the 30th November, so get it while you can.
Read a review of MP3 Panda, or visit either MP3 Panda or MovieBerry to see the sites for yourself.
Registering with MovieBerry is still free, but to start downloading movies, you need to activate your account. This requires you to deposit 99¢ on your account. This gives you 20 movie downloads, 10 more than ZML give you with their trial day.
The 'trial' lasts 24 hours. You will then be billed for the first months payment of $39.90. If you do not want to carry on using the service, make sure you cancel before the trial is over.
You will be billed every month for $39.90, this gives you full access to MovieBerry and unlimited movie downloads. You can cancel your subscription at any time too.
